Regional Squads (Regio Elite)

The regional squads are formed in a regional performance center with the necessary infrastructure and geographically appropriate location. There is the possibility that existing clubs with their infrastructures offer themselves as executing bodies.

The execution and implementation of the regional trainings as well as the qualification of the coaching staff is the responsibility of the SAFV.

Process of roster selection

The Regio Elite squad forming takes place at the beginning of each calendar year, through sighting camps at the respective locations.

During the national championship, the squads are reduced to 45 athletes each, who start intensifying in the regio after the end of the season. The cycle ends with the qualification for the national team at the national combine.
